The Problem
This client is a busy family run business that specialise in haulage, warehousing and logistics. As an established client of ours, we provide a fully outsourced service to enable them to achieve the work life balance they strive for. With a need for a finance department without the associated overheads, we are an extension of their team.
The Solution
Working on site once a fortnight we are fully embedded within the business, there isn’t a week that goes by without any communication between us. As their outsourced finance department, we manage the following;

Trust is key to this partnership and something we had to work very hard to gain when we acquired them as part of the business purchase in 2020.
Running both weekly and monthly payroll is a time sensitive matter and requires superb organisational skills from both parties to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
The provision of Monthly Management accounts gives the owner/director(s) peace of mind and allows her to be safe in the knowledge that cashflow is tracking as expected. Given the nature of the industry, fluctuating fuel prices can impact them significantly and having a full understanding of their finances is crucial.
Lastly, as a family run business, we are fortunate to take care of the personal tax for each family member too. There are huge benefits to this because we can ensure that everything is set up as tax efficiently as possible, and we have a complete, holistic picture of all the varying components and sources of income.
The Outcome
The current owner is reducing their involvement in the day to day running of the business as she prepares to hand over the reigns to her children. We have been involved in this process to ensure it is a smooth transition and that everything is dealt with and completed in line with procedures.
